Harrisburg – Sharon Donahoe, a Bedford County resident, made the Best of Show winner in the 2011 Pennsylvania Farm Show Fashions with a Flair fashion show and competition on Saturday, Jan. 8.
Donahoe created a dress and jacket for her daughter fabricated from red Pendleton wool. Along with the dress was a semi-fitted dress, which was fully lined and featured flanges.
Karisa Durfee of Crawford County, was the 4-H division leader. Durfee tailored a red wool coat, which was fully lined with a raised waistline, front button closure, set in sleeves and patch pockets with additional button trim. In the back were princess seams. Underneath the coat was a jet black suit fashioned from polyester with slacks that had flared legs and a side zipper. The ensemble was topped off with a red military cadet cap.
Entries are judged on overall appearance and accessories, modeling presentations, design, style and color, construction and fit, and level of difficulty.
