1/15/2010

Harrisburg – Exhibitors and their sturdy, giant equines took to the show ring in the Draft Horse Pleasure Show Thursday, Jan. 14, at the 2010 Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg.

Adults and youth competed in several different cart, hitch and riding classes. A variety of draft horse breeds were seen in each division, including Belgians, Percherons and Spotted Drafts.

Howard Streaker Jr., of Howard County, Md., judged all classes and handed out ribbons with the help of the 2010 Pennsylvania Draft Horse and Mule Association Queen Kate Basset of Danville, Montour County.

Linda and Leroy Bunning of Benchfield Farms in Newville, Cumberland County, had entrants in every class, taking first in Youth Cart, Team Hitch Commercial and Team Obstacle.
