DAIRY ‘DAHLIA’ NAMED BEST DOE SHOW
Huntingdon County Exhibitor Wins Honor for Second Consecutive Year

HARRISBURG – Ann Weikel’s LaMancha doe, SG Rockspring DK Dahlia Dahlia, was named Dairy Goat Best Doe in Show on Friday, Jan. 16, at the 2009 Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg. 
 
Weikel, owner of Rockspring Farm in Blairs Mills, Huntingdon County, exhibited LaMancha and Toggenburg dairy goats during the show.  Six-year-old “Dahlia” topped more than 321 head judged by Julie Matthys of Laporte, Ind., at the Farm Show.
 
Weikel is no stranger to the winner’s circle at the Farm Show.  In 2008, she also exhibited the Best Doe in Show, RGCH Rockspring Virg Dande Dorothy.
 
Seven breeds and divisions were represented including Alpine, LaMancha, Nubian, Saanen, Toggenburg, All Other Purebreds and Recorded Grades.
 
The results for the seven divisions are as follows:
 
Alpine
